The difference between Google Screened and Google Guaranteed is as follows
Google Guaranteed was introduced several years ago in order to boost consumer confidence in local service providers appearing in Google local service Ads. Recently, Google announced another professional services program called Google Screened.
Things To Know About Google Screened and Google Guaranteed:
- The current edition of Google Screened is only available in the San Diego region for lawyers (estate planning, immigration), financial advisors and realtors.
- Google also requires that businesses have at least a 3.0 star rating to qualify. There is no application fee for Local Services advertisers (in the relevant categories).
- In contrast, Google Guaranteed is widely available and can cover a wide variety of home services, including HVAC, appliances, house cleaning, painting, locksmiths, plumbers, and more. And if a consumer connects or books through Google, the program offers a money-back guarantee up to a certain amount, if consumers aren’t satisfied with the provider’s work.
- Google has a variety of background checks as an option for small businesses to use. The Google Guaranteed program is the most extensive and thorough, requiring that you have your license and insurance verified before being approved.
Verifying your business is the final step in securing your seller account from unauthorized sellers. This service offers you a satisfaction or money-back guarantee if something goes wrong after completing their services, and it also does all of these things to protect against fraud in addition: removing competitors' ads on Google search engine pages; enhancing competition removal protection by disabling accounts with no orders for continuously more than 90 days; blocking transactions when there are new competitor listings within certain proximity radius (prevention); conducting manual checks before approving any application changes.
The Google Screening process does not currently extend to professional services. Therefore, lawyers appear in Google Assistant results without being Google Screened. This could change in the future in more line with Google Guaranteed if Google expands Google Screening.
Why we should care?
A recent update to Google's badging program may have some companies scratching their heads. While the company has long been a leader in ensuring that consumers are aware of when ads and search results cross paths, this latest change leaves many wondering how they will maintain compliance with the FTC regulations and avoid getting in trouble by separating advertisements from relevant searches.
Google's new updates on its advertising program for Local Services Ads was met with confusion as Google now separates out advertisements from other online content so it can avoid running afoul of existing rules set up by The Federals who cares about disclosing any possible conflicts of interest between advertisers and those being advertised against; however, according to experts there is no concrete evidence proving what changes.
Conclusion:
Google Screened is a new service that will allow advertisers to get verified reviews on their company pages. Does Google Screened expand beyond its current advertising-based model, and does it do so for non-advertisers as well? Would Google be able to give pre-screened companies a ranking boost if they expanded outside of advertisers?
